I am really surprised to see that the prices have dropped so quick!

If they would only get into the low 40's I might pull the trigger, but I think Hell would need to freeze first.

I wouldn't want to purchase if the price dropped to the low $40's. Then the resale would really be screwed up. If I see someone go $1K below invoice before the '06 models release then I will sell mine and move on to something else. I just don't see Acura's going that low. If anything, the value will increase fairly soon if my guess is right.

It depends on the area, when I enter in my zip code on Carsdirect.com they're selling the RL for MSRP.

Out of curiosity I priced a fully loaded '06 GS300 on Carsdirect and got quoted about $3,400 off MSRP in my area.

If they quote that price? Do they honor the quote from the internet. I have never used them or tried to. They may just be allowing that price to happen but wont really honor it. Just curious?

No problem my zip code is 34102, and yea I was surprised that I refreshed the brower a few times to make sure what I was seeing was correct.

does anyone know if michigan dealers deal with cars direct. EVERY car I look at has just a target price, and not a cars direct price. Kinda annoyed. Almost all cars target prices are at MSRP.

Of all the posts recently, I have to say this is one of the silliest. Cars Direct has a big discount on the new Lexus GS300, the RL, and the Infiniti (all zip code dependent). That sort of puts us all back at square one.

If someone gets one through Cars Direct (any of the above brands/models) please post your experience. If it is anything like a friend of mine's last year, good luck.

I just got a online quote from Downey Acura of The TL with navi would be 33,875 and the RL would be 45,195. Both prices already include the 570 destination charge, wheel locks, splash guards, and a trunk tray. I look forward to your reply.
Thanks,
Cheryl
Downey Acura

That is almost a $4500 discount on the RL. Why is it being discounted so much, this is a great car.

Thanks for your reply. However, where are you? (Zip Code info or state would help as the discounts for these vehicles seem to vary by area.)

Now try my zip code (20009) and see what you get. Supply and demand vs. area of the country determine price. Next time I fall in love with a new RL, I'll fly out west.

Aw, crap. my ZIP code (441xx) gives me MSRP. Must be the bad winter forcing people to think of AWD. I've already seen several RLs on the road here, so they must be selling reasonably well here in the Cleveland area.

Had to drive to Chicago to get it. but picked it up for $45,100 + tax.

I am receiving dealer quotes now in the Houston area for $46,800 + TTL w/no hidden fees. I think that is still too high based on current sales vs. availability. The '06 M35 Sport with Navi and Full Size Spare has an MSRP of $47,390 (and I can get that discounted some).

Somewhat of a discount

I got my Lakeshore/Taupe on 01/05/2005. I paid 47,500 +T.T.L. (no trade).

There is still a wait to get one around here (Minneapolis), less if your not too picky about color combo.

I already have a quote for $45,400 and will try to get a lower price.

Its interesting you have a wait in your area; according to a Motor Trend magazine poll the RL is dead last with a miserable 1% of the vote (almost 163,000 votes) among six upscale sedans.

The Motor Trend poll is nothing but a big fat joke. It allows fanboys (and girls) the opportunity to vote and revote without a second's delay (unlike most everyday polls which shut you out after one vote because they are tied to your cookies/identity).

Naturally, Acura buyers have other things to do with their time.

I bought mine at a dealer in Santa Monica, california. I sent an email out before hand to all area dealers and they gave me a price of 44,999. My experience is that internet pricing is always substantially lower then what is ever offered at the dealership.

California in general is often lower in prices than the rest of the country due to heavy competition. Especially in the Los Angeles area. I read this in Kiplengers Mag.
