Question Cargo Net

Alright, here is a silly question. I purchased the cargo net for the RL and it came with a couple of clips and fasteners. With the trunk lining in place, where would you install the fasteners so the cargo net would be secure?

Try a google search for "acura rl cargo net installation". You should find a link, about five down, with the instructions.

Very easy install.

I really appreciated rlwva the site and installation instructions were very helpful. I would have never imagined that a cargo net was that involved to secure. Thanks again.

Yup, it takes a bit of time, you have to pull apart everything in the trunk

I had posted the cargo net install info for somebody else here in the past. For other people who many need it in the future:

It's also available, along with several other install pdfs, at the honda. com site (under the "instructions" tab at the top of the page)

Curious that the Acura RL web accessories page seems to show the cargo net mounted at the very rear of the car but the instructions show it mounted 2/3 the way into the trunk almost to the back of the rear seat.

My original post should have referenced the Honda-Acura World web site, but it doesn not seem to appear in the posting.

When I purchased the cargo net for my RL I had the dealer install it for the same price. Tell your dealer that you are a customer and that they should install the net for free. Other car dealers already have the clips installed in their cars so all you need to is to attach the net. Lexus ships the cars with cargo nets.

The new 06' RX330 we bought did not come with the cargo net. Our 02 RX300 did come with it. The new IS350 came with it. I am not sure why some come with and some are not included.

That was for me. And if I hadn't already, just wanted to say thank-you for it.
