Weird, it seems as if i'm having a similar problem in my 05 TL, the A/C works but it takes forever to cool off the car. Like 15-20 of driving before it gets cold. I remember when I bought it (used last year) it was instant cool whenever I turned it on.

Are you using the A/C manually or is it set to Auto? We are into 90F temps in Florida and I have mine set manually to 58F, the equivalent to MAX. It throws ice cubes.

Yes, I like it that way. Call me Mr. Cryogenic Freeze, Mr. Powers.

I had that happen on my BMW. It turned out to be that the refrigerant level was low. That is an easy fix (refill) from pretty much anyone. The problem is that it should last longer, meaning the A/C system/lines need to be checked for leaks.

Good luck,

You have a slow leak somewhere and you need to have someone find the leak instead of just filling with freon. Everyone wants to take the easy way out. If my freon is low, I always insist the leak if found, If I cannot find it myself. Otherwise you will just get fill and charge $$$.

My '06's AC seems to kick a lot more ass than my '05's did. It's hot as Hades here today and I was plenty cool, thanks.
