If not any possible help or any advice would be greatly appreciated on how to mitgate it

First of all, changing that often is wasting tons of money. Today's synthetics go 10,000 easy.

Second, my daughter's 07 RL burns oil at 225,000 miles, but not that much. Suspect the prior owner(s) didn't care for the car properly.

Try doing the next few oil changes with Valvoline Restore & Protect. Many have reported this helps piston ring seals which reduces oil getting pushed up into the combustion chamber.

Oil is cheaper than metal.

I found cleaning the PCV on the cam cover helped on my BB8 Prelude.

They were the first (H22A) with FRM (carbon fibre) bores and used to drink oil at higher mileages. But having too much crankcase pressure certainly didn't help either.

My oil changes so far have been with restore and protect. Hopefully itll help solve or atleast just reduce the burning a bit.also i drive the car hard so i think it justifies the 3k mile interval

I will replace the pcv and post an update on oil consumption

No problem. I honestly assumed it was snake oil at first - but there are tons of internet testimonials about it fixing oil consumption issues.

The key is you have to the next few oil changes with it and the problem gradually gets better - it's not an instant fix.

Is it OK with VTEC lost motion adjusters?

IIRC, one of those oil additives used to f them up. Which is why Honda says never use additives....

It's not an additive - it is a different type of oil altogether.

I generally never use oil additives - if the car needed them, they'd already be in the oil itself.

That's handy to know - or might be!

Bit of a rare product over here, by the looks of things.
