Brake fluid leaking from piston?
Brake fluid leaking from piston?
I'm hoping someone can steer me in the right direction for this.
Driving home the other day, the low brake fluid warning came on, followed by no brakes. Had the car towed home and checked front brakes. I noticed that the passenger side front rotor was very unevenly worn (outer surface very thin compared to surface facing the engine). Pulled out the pads and noticed that brake fluid appears to be leaking from the pistons on the caliper. Could not see any leaks anywhere else.
Are there seals in the piston that could be leaking (if so, how do I take care of this) or do I need to replace the caliper completely?
