Blank Panel Insert on Overhead Console?
Any idea what the rectangular blank panel insert is intended for on the overhead console, by the map light button closest to the driver's seat? This is on an '06 Canadian market car (and FWIW is the same on the '05)
I really wish they had incorporated a sunglasses storage cubby up there someplace instead of jamming them into the armrest center console with MP3 discs, phone charger, etc....

I can't think of what is there on the '07+ cars that didn't get OnStar? ![Ponder](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/ponder.gif)
You're making me want to run out and look at mine.

AFAIK, it's just the Canadian RL's that did not get OnStar (or AcuraLink, or traffic on the nav, or XM radio for that matter). But we got heated&cooled seats and pop-up headlight washers :-)

They quit doing OnStar after 2006. My car can't be tracked by OnStar for speed/travel statistics. ![Ninja](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/ninja.gif)
I suppose the nav satellite owners could though.
