Bernardi Warranty Clarity

Is the "AcuraCare" warranty advertised at www.bernardiwarranty.com the REAL ACURACARE warranty. I've searched the site and seen several references to Bernardi's website and their unbelievably low warranty cost, but there still seems to be some confusion about the legitimacy of this company and the warranty that they're offering. Their website does not exactly inspire confidence especially since I cannot find a clearly defined and outlined list of what the warranty SPECIFICALLY covers/excludes. I am certainly not interested in being burned.

Currently, I'm at 49504 on my 06 RL and I'm going to take the plunge this week, but before doing so I need some clarity on this Bernardi deal!

-Is this the bona fide and certified bumper-to-bumper AcuraCare warranty?
-Has anyone here made a claim after purchasing from Bernardi? If so, how was the experience?
-Does anyone know why Bernardi's warranty is so cheap?

Thanks in advance for your help, folks.

I don't have one but it is legit.. maybe some more people can confirm.

Also, it says nov. 1 is the end of Honda warrantys on the site but not sure if that means Acura too ? I'm presuming yes.

Buy it!! Same warranty as dealer tries to sell you for a couple grand. Gotta love greed...

I recall reading on this site that the Honda/Acura backed Internet sale warranties are going to go away again, so check on when or if that will happen.

When I bought my AcuraCare warranty in 2007 for my 2006 RL, I searched high and low and found Ray Laks Acura (www.hondacuraworld.com) offered the best deal. I do not know if that is still true. Tim Polniak (sp?) was the man that explained it all. 888-RAY-LAKS. Check it out.

It's legit, and you have until 11/2/09 to buy as the entire program is disappearing at Honda's request. BOOOOOOOOOOOOO Honda!

Tim at Ray Lakes Acura told me last week that Acura is closing their internet Acura Care sales but he thought they could still sell it to you over the phone. We'll find out next month, but I bought mine this week to be safe.

Not uncommon...I collect watches and most upscale brands prohibit internet sales by authorized dealers. If you email them, they can't sell you a watch. if you give them a call, they can. I guess they want to assure some level of personal contact although I'm sure that's not Honda's intention.

I bought a warranty from bernardi for my RL. I used the warranty to replace my door handle at a different dealer out of state when I was at 51,000 miles. It was fully covered. I guess Bernardi sells the real stuff.

Yes, it is. It is one fly in the ointment for an otherwise nearly bulletproof car.

Makes a warranty pretty much necessary.
