Back Window Down--water soaked interior

Hello Guys had an issue last-night.

I accidentically left the back windows down and it rained, now i have a leather soaked interior a rear window shade that has changed color and no telling how much water got down join the window well. If there anything i should do besides parking in the "HOT" sun?

Thanks.

There isn't much to do but let it dry out, the doors have drain holes in them behind the weather strip at the bottom and a vapor barrier behind the door panel . You wanna go to the extreme and remove the door panel and seats, it's easy enough.

I'd at least take out the back seat. Be grateful it was your back windows and not the front. I had that happen years ago with a Toyota Supra when a nasty cloudburst hit out of the blue when we were out shopping years ago. The stereo was never the same after that.

You can run the car with the heater full blast, air flow on recycle, and all the windows up. Same effect as the sun, but a good way to burn gas too.

You may want to check under the carpet - if the soundproofing gets too wet, it can get smelly if not dried out thoroughly.

If it's a light shower, it'll be fine.

I would pull all the panels that were affected off and dry them off and probably let them sit a day or two. I've heard some nasty stories with water turning into mold while I was on the CL side of this forum.
