The other day I started my car like normal and the radio was asking for the code. The navigation system worked but not the radio. I entered the code and it is hasn't happened again.

Is this a sign of the battery starting to go? I have read enough threads about how the RL can start having electronic gremlins when the battery gets weak.

Ok. I'll put it on a charger tonight to make sure it is as charged as it will get. If/when it happens again I'll replace the battery. I work at a Honda dealer so I'll probably just get the OEM battery. Is there a better option than OEM? I know there aren't a lot of aftermarket options because it needs to be flat.

 

Better is subjective. I would go with the best balance of price and warranty. If you didn't work for a dealer, I would include availability in that mix too.
