What would you add? I love the cooled seats, boot shifter. Not sure how doable.

I was assuming non-leased cars. I never had to do a lease on a car.

I was being facetious, of course you would only hack purchased cars. It seems to me that a lot of the desirable features of the 09 would be difficult to put into the 05-08, save the shifter boot, maybe. This is why I prefer leasing. I would actually like to hack the 05-08 grille into the 09!!

Better off trying to figure out how to hack a decent grille on the '09, I think that might be easier.

Shift boot (and entire center console) appears to be from UK/Japan/right-drive Honda Legend cars (they've had it since release in 2006 I think). You can see that the power port/lighter plug moved to the US driver's side on the 2009 cars.

Retrofitting cooled seats would be an expensive proposition.

The pictures I saw of the Jp Legends showed the shifter is a reverse of the 09 one since they are right hand drive. The left hand drive 09 RL's shifter is a reverse of the Jp if I remember correctly. If doable, the 09 shifter would fit better than the Jp version. THe gear indicators are always facing the driver.

I would guess that Honda is betting on selling more LEGENDS in China and Russia than RLs in North America. And now that Acura design studios haked it to humilation, I expect that will be the case. China and Russia are left hand drive configurations.

I would like the Shifter and Boot myself. But I do like my wood shifter knob, so it's a toss up. I would LOVE cooled seats. And the NAVI upgrades would be nice....I hope XM Weather will be available to our systems, perhaps with a NAVI disc upgrade (if it ever comes out! )

I like the idea of the center armrest padding being thicker, and the door armrests with finger cups to aid in door closing. I may order the center armrests when mine show wear. But I am stretching here.

Otherwise, the new RL offers nothing over our version to make me even want to drive one. That styling repulses me enough so.

I'd like to hack the fan speed buttons from the '09 RL's climate control panel. And the cooled seats. And the more padded center armrest (let me know how it goes TampaRL). And the bigger engine. And possibly the 18' wheels (if they're machined). And that new car smell. And the more advanced weather NAV. And of course the better ANC. Maybe the wood-look shifter console (if the power cord can reach the driver's side).

Wait a minute: I think a better question is what '05-'08 features the '09 owner will want to hack onto his car!
