Anyone with 08 RL Tech Package ?

If so, how much did you pay? I am considering buying one and would appreciate any information re how much to pay and what would be a good price. I currently have a 07 TL with Nav but thinking of getting rid of it.

Thanks.

I am wondering the same thing. It sounds like leftover '07s are going for about $42,000 with Tech, but I think I want an '08 (not many '07s left). I have a 2004 TL that I am trading in.

Ah, more TL converts.

As a TL to RL convert myself, I can appreciate your decision making process. If you look in the RL owner sign in thread, you will find some recent purchase prices. Honestly, though, not many here have purchased 2008s yet and most people are seeking leftover 2007s. You also have to keep in mind that Acura is limiting availability because of low sales, so you may be just as hard-pressed to find 2008s as 2007s.

Funny (?) thing is, if Honda limits availability, you're guaranteed to have low sales!

Fortunately for car nuts like myself, the RL is in a very competitive price range ($30K-50K) so the field is full of options!

Hi, I just got 2 dealers to agree to sell 2008 Tech Packages for 45,500 which is invoice. I was able to get a price of 41,000 on a 2007 but was too slow to act and now they all seem to be gone.

Let me know if you find a better deal. I was supposed to pick mine up last week but had to delay until Monday.

The 3 dealers I spoke to have 2 to 3 in stock.

with no support money available for an 08, that's the best deal i have heard.

and for the 07 you lost out on, that too was a good price. I don't know how long you hold a car, but I would think that if you sell this car within the first five years that the used Blue Book value diffence would be about 4k. What i am saying is you shouldn't get hurt by buying the 08 at a higher initial price. If you hold a car for 10 years it is a different story and you should look harder for an 07 imho.

Crown Acura in Clearwater, FL has a 2007 RL Tech (Platinum Frost / Taupe) & 2 2008 RL Techs (Platinum Frost /Taupe & Carbon Grey / Taupe).

I got my 2006 RL (Tech equivalent) one year ago just under $41K.

I've looked in the Northern NJ area, even to Westchester county NY and easter PA. Only 1 new 07 Tech, after checking 10-15 dealers and e-mailing about 10. The dealer with the 07 tech wanted something like $44.5K for the 07 tech (eastern PA). I just had to laugh....

All 3 are in northern Jersey. The first 2 I played off each other and got them to that price pretty quickly. The 3rd I called who said they would match that price.

The 4th and 5th wouldn't match it.

If you need specifics, contact me and I will give you.

Thanks, I had the same thoughts but am not sure what I will do long term. If I love the car and a better RL for me doesn't come it in the next few years, I would probably keep it for 6 to 8 years. I think I am going to take the 08 and hope for the best. Thanks again for the advice.

Best I could find is invoice + $1,500 for $47,020 (plus TTL).

However, the lease looks good, $7K up front, $600/month for 35 mos with a residual of $26,802.

I think I'll take it.

Not sure how they came up with those numbers. I found that invoice is about 44,500 for a Tech Package. Even if you add 1500 it should only be 46k. I got it for 45,500 which they agreed was 1k over invoice.

Good luck.

2007 RL/Tech MSRP was 49,400 (according to Edmunds)
Invoice for 2007 RL/Tech was 44,267 and Destination was 670 for a total of 44,937

2008 RL/Tech MSRP is 49,900 ($500 increase)
Invoice for 2008 RL/Tech is presently not published but I'll assume 44,267 plus the 500 price increase to equal 44,767 plus the 2008 Destination fee of 715 for a total of 45,482

If you got a 2008 Tech package at 45,500 I'd say you got it at invoice, at least until such time as the invoice amount has beeen published and verified.
