any DYI rl "wood-like" steering wheels

Has anyone tackled the wood-like steering wheel themselves?

$700 installed is tough to pass by the wife.............

Plenty of people have done this - especially on the TL. Personally I dont have the guts to mess with the airbag, but from what people have said, as long as you disconnect the battery and handle the airbag carefully (dont drop it) you wont have any problems. I would do a search over at the TL forums to see how the people have done it there - it will be very similar to the RL.

You can't link directly to that site from here. I don't think the owner's here like them.
