ANC stopped working

The car sounded as if ANC had stopped working. I can no longer tell the difference of the noise level between covering the ANC hole in the front and leaving it open. I was wondering if ANC is sensitive to outside temperature since it has been very cold recently. Did anybody else experience this?

Thanks.

Have you tried disabling it and seeing if it makes a difference? Turn it off in the Audio settings -- just disable "AudioPilot" and drive the car for a while.

I thought that audiopilot is for the ANC - but members here corrected me - AudioPilot turns up the volume of the radio when you are at higher speeds. It compensates for the noise as you speed up. This is a seperate system from ANC.

I don't know if there is a way to turn on or off ANC after the car starts. I tested it by covering the ANC hole and I used to be able to tell the difference after doing just that. The car will go to the dealer to figure out what had happened to ANC.

Well ya learn something new everyday. The blurb on the Bose website seemed to suggest they were one and the same.
