AFS Sensor

I can't find similar info so i'm making a thread for this.

1. There are other sensors behind all wheels that look just like the AFS one that is on the rear left.

I am confused. How many AFS sensors are there? I always read here that the rear left is the one that is the AFS sensor. what makes the headlights swivel. Plz if someone know and can clarify.

2. My left headlight was flickering then now it turns off after a few flickers. If I turn the headlights off then on, it come back on, then after a while, same.

3. I took out the rear left AFS sensor, and sure enough one of the springs is barbecued. So I just replaced it with a spring from a pen. Now, the AFS light no longer blinks, and I no longer get an MID message about it, but it's just there on the bottom right: on & not blinking. If I buy a spring, will the lights swivel again?

Help, I need clarifications before buying expensive sensors. And I also don't want to buy the Doorman sensor for a hundred bucks and find out if doesn't solve the problem.

Which point are you replying to A? No making sense in my head.

My battery is in top notch. I did mention a spring inside the sensor was barbecued, among other things.

Could a bad AFS sensor cause the headlight to flicker and/or turn off?

Could be a dying bulb, ignitors or ballasts that will cause flickering

I had a similar problem when my hands free link started draining the battery, had the passenger side flicker and dash light up, took it to a Honda dealership and had everything cleared, fixed the problem for me

What do you mean by "everything cleared"? but anyway my HFL thank God is still hanging in there. The key is not to turn off, or on, the car while you're using it. Otherwise it risks getting stuck.

Today my mechanic covered the new 20 dollar afs sensor with silicone. Still happily swivellin!

Any codes that were being shown due to the battery being drained
