AFS Malfunction?

On the way home tonight I received an AFS error and had to pull over to clear the message. 10 miles later it happened again, but this time I was about a mile from my house.

Has this happened to anyone else? I'll be calling my dealer tomorrow morning for this and those damn squeaky brakes!

Happened a few times, but each time it didn't seem to be an actual malfunction.

When the AFS malfunctions, it really lets you know.

The display in the dash tells you that the AFS has malfunctioned, the AFS light continuously blinks (pretty annoying) and the "i" is lit. Along with all this, the error is displayed on your Navi screen. If you get into your messages, it states that you have to pull over and reboot the car. If the error comes back, then make an appt at your dealership.

Well, ours came back and I've made an appointment at my dealership. It's just too bad that they don't have anything available until Sept 15th!

I've had the warning come on twice, months apart. Each time a quick restart/reboot cleared it.

Same here, I turned off the car and came back a few minutes later and it corrected it's self.

Quick update -

Drove 4 hours in the dark last night, the AFS error has not come back since the two times earlier this week.
