afs light..
afs light..
light comes on when i hit a bump... light resets, then if i stay flat no light but hit a bump it shows in the MID screen again. where is the afs box or has this happen to anyone how can i solve.( not willing to waste money at a dealer if i can fix myself) i am aware it does not affect the car but is a pain..to see daily...
Megatron is right. and it sounds like the stroke sensor since you are going over bumps when the light is turning on. hopefully its not the afs unit under the steering column that one is pretty expensive.

Wow I just realized he is a different from acurasukss10. Well, not THAT different, but you know...
Let me clarify too for the people who come here and may not know but read this little tid bit.
The BASE E350 comes with Halogen bulbs and costs the same as the TechI package RL. In order to get HIDs, MB will charge you, significantly, and retrofits don't always work due to heat issues. If you want an E350 with the options that a CMBS RL has, be willing to spend over $7k more. And even with that extra money, you won't get AWD. So Mr. RL-haters, I say, we are all
at YOU for being a tool and letting MB empty your wallets.

Happens to the best of us James. I don't plan on fixing my afs issue until i trade in my car(maybe soon).
The RL forum can get very boring. Mosey on over to ramblings or car talk, but tread lightly. Silly comments will result in people eating your lunch or tossing your salad.
Oh, and gangbangs occur sometimes too.

Yeah, like that saying that goes something like "sweet ain't no sweet without the bitter" or something like that

Can't believe I just said something that cheazy.
So anyone knows the diag for this situation ? Considering the projector swivels to the right on startup, I'm assuming the AFS module is functional. What could be throwing the code and retaining the projectors from turning while driving ?
Most likely the stroke sensor. It's connected to one of the rear wheels.
