i have the 05 rl in which i know had issues with the driver side light not staying on well i changed the ballast and the harness inside but for some reason this damn light turns on and after a few minutes it turns off again and its only on the right side i also checked the connector to make sure i was getting power and it was i checked the pins inside connector to make sure nothing was broken or loose but nothing its still doing the same thing i finally decided to check the wiring but i wanted to get some ideas and opinions before i go thru that long process

 

have you tried swapping igniters and bulbs and ballast from left headlight to right to see if the issue still persists?

 

Did you try a new bulb?

 

yes i have tried i replaced the ballast thinking in the beginning it was that it worked for a little while and then did the same thing again i replaced the igniter and i believe the bulb also only thing i didnt replace was the afs motor that moves the light but i see it moves so im not sure its bad if all else fails i guess i will have to try and trace back the wires and see where they go its possible its broken or shorted somewhere but i see that is a job in itself in which i dont have alot of time now so again i am hoping for some answers to the problem i know the 05 rl had problems on the right light and i believe the 06 or 07 had it on the left i need help with this??? im also trying to recalibrate and relearn the vsa and awd since i replaced the pump brakes still work but not the way they should anyone have any idea or possibly the software to service this

 

I would do what thoiboi suggested and swap the good side to the bad side and see if the problem stays in place or if it follows the parts you moved.

 

did you ever fix this? i have almost exact problems with VSA and AFS
