AEM intake ?'s

I have searched all over the place and there seems to be no specs on what is needed to modify a tl intake to fit.Anyone with pictures or answers would greatly appreciated.

I know you can contact visionary racing.

But i believe if you can use a TL intake with a bracket. something along those lines.

Just get the AEM CAI kit at Visionary Racing. It includes all you need to know including instructions.

I can't leave you hanging like that... take this from someone that bought his AEM CAI from Visionary Racing: the kit does include the .89 cent Simpson strap you use to mount the AEM to an existing mounting point the OEM intake used and it does include instructions that are incorrect.

I'll save you some frustration: You must remove the bumper in order to extract the OEM intake system, and you must remove the battery in order to install the AEM. You will also remove the entire fender liner on the driver's side. This is a job you can do, but you will be happier if you read the threads on this site which describe how to easily remove the bumper skin.

I use my AEM CAI from my TL and I just drop it in. I didn't modify my bracket or anything.

I paid someone to do all that for me. I just didn't have the time to do all that myself, though the guy who installed it took only a little over an hour to do the job. I dread having the original stuff reinstalled when time comes to trade/sell. Hell, I even dread cleaning the filter! *shudder*

I didn't know the instructions for the kit were wrong, though.

It's the same intake kit, but it uses a different mounting point via an adaptor plate (a Simpson strap) used to reach over to a spot on the sidewall of the RL's engine bay.
