2G RL Windshield Wipers

Hey guys, quick question. I need to have my wiper blades replaced. I looked at Walmart, Target, Bj's, and Costco. All the blades they sell for the RL either fits the 1G ('96-'04) or the RLX '(14 and above) with nothing for our '05-'12. Am I missing something here. Will either fit our cars? Or do I have to go through the dealer? If so, what is a reasonable price for them? Thanks

You only replace the rubber inserts. Got mine from Acura for $20 installed

Was in Walmart yesterday, found Michelin replacements as called out in the catalog provided. Are those not going to work? I bought them but not installed yet.

I just buy them at the dealer. It's very cheap. I think the RL's blade size is non-standard which makes it hard to find.

They're a bit of a bitch to replace too. I think its was two slices per wiper, and you gotta like slide-join them both on the blade. Frustrating.

So the 2 I bought will not work? According to the wiper book at store it says 19" and 22".

No idea. I've always bought at dealer since they were cheap. Also, the parts guy at the dealer always just put them in for me on the spot. But in the 12 years I've owned this car, I've only replaced the blades once. The car is always garaged.

I've honestly never seen or tried those Michelin ones. The PIAA inserts have had good reviews on here. I've usually just gone with dealer inserts. They ring in at 15$ and I just pull into the service bay and they install them right then and there . Don't laugh, I do most of my own work but I hate those freakin' thin metal blades that support the insert (flexor I think?).

I returned them thanks for responding didnt even try to install. Just was odd as I dont ever recall seeing any blades listed for RL previously then this new catalog listed quite a few for RL as available. Ill just grab inserts when ready.

Good deal. Yeah, I've honestly never heard of the Michelin full blades fitting on there. I find it interesting that they listed '05-'08!

Same here. The parts guy knows how to do it so fast it takes him about 30 seconds.

I have used PIAA for the past 4-5 years and could not be happier. I actually have one pair ready for swapping just in case, but they last long, and provide good performance in Chicagoland during winter months.
Warmly recommended...

at a DIY.

It's a breeze of an install or buy OEM from Acura & they'll gladly do it for you..
