2008 RL Help!!!

This may not be a big deal to some but it bothers the hell out of me. The "coin tray" under radio unit doesn't stay closed I have a feeling it's a magnetic issue but what can I do to fix besides placing Velcro. Helps please!!!

If you are not comfortable doing this I am a proponent of paying to have the pros to do it.

Yeah, we cannot rate your skill.

Its not a hard task IMO, but I also build project cars.

Unfortunately, I think the stealership will charge on the order of $100 to install your $4 part. Do you have any mechanically inclined friends?

Wow I feel so embarrassed ! I played with the coin tray and behold I was easily able to remove it and the shifter cover just pops off no mechanical skills required. So I just ordered to part for $4 dollars (payed triple for shipping) but still cheaper than the $70 price at the dealer. They told me I had to replAce the entire coin tray... Lol jokes on them!

haha... good win.

For future reference I just buy the latch at the dealer. I think the last one was a little over 5 bucks with tax.

I went to the dealer and got the latch for $7 and replaced it in their parking lot....I wanted them to see me do it since they told me I had to replace the entire coin tray.... Jokes on them.
