I did find one good thing about the ebay listing. It showed me what my Bella Noche would look like with the spoiler and A-Spec wheels... I like the spoiler but think I will get different rims.

Reconstructed title. No way he's getting $18k for that RL.

He does say the title is reconstructed in the description so if people read (I would sure hope they would if they are considering buying a car on EBay) they should know....

There are so many of these out there.

I traveled to NoVa to look at two that were advertised as "clean titles" but trust me you can 100% tell when there has been work done.

I hope any eBayer pays close attention if buying site unseen.

when I was selling my TL buyers gave me a deposit before running CarFax. Then saw an accident and wanted price dropped 2k.

I coughed up all vehicle damage documents to show em that even considering the damage the car was still a deal.

I doubt anyone else would have been near as linient with them.

It did not help them being 1200 miles away.

Absolutely 037, there is a huge different from a carfax "accident" and a salvage or rebuild title.

I am talking about the shady shops that see rebuilds as "like new"

Did you by chance go to a couple places in Manassas and Fairfax? I went to a couple used car dealers around those areas to check some rls they were far from good condition. But as you said advertised as clean title. So I just went to radley and picked one up just gave me that extra peace of mind.

"Salvage Title" is not necessarily even "insurable" in California and some other states. Buyers better talk to their intended insurer, first...

salvage means total loss. Total loss means whoever fixed it did a crappy job to make a good profit upon sale.

This is when you stop bidding...

haha I noticed that wood trim too - it's never a good idea to mix real wood with the fake stick-on stuff, but I like where the owner was going with it...I did sit in an 09 yesterday and I really liked that the wood trim now covers the area around the shift knob & cup holders - just a little more attention to detail...since the black plastic doesn't exactly excude "luxury"
