AAA install failed due to some component on the positive terminal of the actual cable/lead and the fact that the interstate batteries they use have some lifted areas that block the installation b/c the component can't be seated all the way.

he said never seen one of these. he said I'd need to go to pep boys, autozone, sears, dealer.

I'm going to hit Sears next (it does barely start and he showed me with the meter that the cranking level is extremely low) unless I hear otherwise.

Someone should have written the codes down in the manual. The manual will also state the cold crank rating needed from an aftermarket battery. Good luck.

AAA and Sears did not have the right battery, there is a fuse component on the + connecter wire.

My mechanic ordered a Bosch battery with 3 yr warranty and 700cc (the Acura had 600cc). $130 w/labor.

AAA and Sears only carry one brand each, beware.

Autozone i believe it is a type 27. Duralast gold 750CCA.

If you look in your glove box and hit the hidden compartment i had a Acura Link card in there with both security and Nav codes

forgot to mention, we found both codes (thank God!) last night in the user manual/paperwork, etc. in the black leather notebook.

hint: first enter navi code, then radio code. 3 strikes and it's locked out.

For $130, you could have gotten an Acura battery and not worry about the fitment issues.

+ with a 100 mo warranty you will never need to buy another battery for the car.
