2005 Rl A-spec

I got a call from the parts manager at Radley Acura in VA about the RLs A-SPEC package and went to see him.
For 05 RL there is more than A-SPEC package as Acura now offers a handling sport package which include:
- Sport suspension
- Two different color 18 inch rims (Tires not included)

Appearance package:
-Ground effects (Underbody kit which include front lip, side skirts and rear under body spoiler)
-Two different color 18 inch rims (Tires not included)

A-SPEC includes:
-Sport suspension
-Ground effects (Underbody kit which include front lip, side skirts and rear under body spoiler)
- Deck lid spoiler
A-SPEC badge
*No different steering wheel is available with the RL, unlike the TL
A-SPEC

And i bet you guys dont want to know about the price for the A-spec whole kit, because it is over $5500 and actually i got quoted for $6500.
I don't want to bash the car or anything and even being a A-SPEC fanatic, THIS KIT IS NOT WORTH IT.
I'm pretty disappointed with Acura accessories and specially with the RL, because my A-SPEC TL looked a lot better than the RL, which looks misplaced and without an identity.
Not to add the unavailability of the moonroof visor, and as i was told its because of the supplier!!!
Why would you have it in the accessory brochure then?

what do you guys think?

So you are disappointed with the RL as a whole or just the apsec package for it or simply the appearance of the car stock? If you are disappointed wiht the RL as a whole simply because you dont like the way it looks then that is LAME. I hardly know wtf my RL looks like since I am inside DRIVING the thing 95% of the time.

I really like the look of the mugen kit. The web site is pretty much all in Japanese. Is this all aftermarket? How do you go about getting this kit? I did try e-mailing the link provided above, and am waiting on response. I am located in North Carolina. Thanks for the help.

I prepurchased the "apprearance kit" formally known as the Underbody Spoiler back in December from my dealer. That is when the Underbody Spoiler was in the brochures. They called last week and said that the kit was due in this week. I will let you know what it actually includes. Already have the rear deck spoiler attached. Looks great in my opinion.

As pek01 said his dealer could do that for him, I know some local aftermarket shops in LA can order mugen kits easily. Have you tried that yet?

I'm guessing that pek01's dealer is talking about the A-spec package which is now available. I called the dealer and talked to the parts department. They said that they didn't know anything about the mugen kit. I may try to call an independent shop. I'll let you know about that, but if you can suggest anything else, please let me know.

Thanks.

For clarification it is part of the A-Spec kit when you go for the full package. I just bought part since the A-Spec kit was not listed at the time.

Well, I got some information on the mugen kit. There is an authorized distributor in Wisconsin (King Motorsports- 262-786-8360). The bad news is that it will not be available in this country for 6 months to a year. The other bad news is that it evidently costs about $6,000.00 right now. Hopefully, it will be less by the time it is available. I may have to look at the A-spec version again although I think the mugen kit looks much better (more aggressive).
