2005 RL 3 Problems

I recently acquired a 2005 RL with about 110,000 miles on it. Folks on this forum have been great in helping resolve a Nav problem (it was dead and I wound up replacing it).

There appears to be three other problems that have come to my attention.
  1. There is a buzzing or resonation coming from the engine compartment (passenger side) when accelerating.
  2. At the rear passenger wheel/suspension I am hearing a rattle on rough surfaces.
  3. The doors continue to lock intermittently after locking the first time. There does not appear to be any pattern to this.

If anyone has suggestions as to what is causing these problems (more annoyances than anything else), I would appreciate the help.

Thank you in advance.

1. Hard to say without hearing it.
2. Pull tire and check brake components. Could be broken clip underneath rear bumper, there are two and your bumper will rattle if they aren't secured.
3. ?

Parking brake cable has been known to rattle.

Door lock actuators. I have had 3 of the 4 replaced in my car. 2 exhibited the lock / unlock phantom as well as a groan.

3. You can try disconnecting the lock actuator and connecting it again. Could be it's not plugged in until clip clicks if it's been worked on before. The same symptoms happened to me and it solved the problem.
