2005 Moonroof switch

Can someone with a 2nd gen RL tell me of the Moonroof switch is supposed to light up when the lights are on? All the other switches in the overhead cluster there are lit up except for the moonroof switch right in the middle.

Just wondering if I need to replace a bulb.

Is there a "one touch" button available for the moon roof?

What exactly do you mean by "one touch" button? You push it one way to open, the other way to close and press the button itself to pop the read-end of the moonroof up.

Now, can anyone answer my question about whether the switch should be lighted with the lights on?

The moonroof switch, which does have a one-touch feature, is lit. I noticed it pulling out of the garage this morning.

Does the moonroof work manually? (by holding the button down)

If so it may need to be reprogrammed. Did you recently disconnect the battery? You may need to reprogram your one touch windows as well.

Here is how you do it:

For the moonroof, push the open button and hold it, keep holding it after it has opened all the way for a few extra seconds. Repeat to close, hold it a few seconds after closing.

Same goes for window switches. If this doesn't help, we'll try something else.

Back to the original question, YES, that button is supposed to be lit. If your's isn't, you need to replace the bulb.

I would imagine it requires popping off the map light covers. That will expose two 11mm (?) bolts that you would need to remove. Then the whole assembly should pop out.
