2005 Acura RL - Removing center console/cupholder help

Hi all,
Looking to modify my audio setup in my 05 RL build. Made a video explaining what I’m looking for. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

did you get the bolt at the bottom of the arm rest?

so, if you lift the arm rest up, there's a big square cubby. underneath the rubber mat at the bottom of the cubby, there's a bolt.

I’m assuming these are what you’re referring to? That’s what’s under the rubber platter. They were all screws I believe, I don’t see any other bolts or screws in here, unless it’s hiding somewhere.

(Pardon the debris, I’m taking care of it. it’s a 17 year old car lol)

so, if you grab the back end there, it should be able to lift up off the floor.

if not able to lift up from the floor from that cubby, there is still something holding it down to the floor

Yep, won’t budge at all. Tried prying it out but felt like something was gonna break.

Is it possible the rear A/C unit would need to be removed? Otherwise, I have no idea. Maybe it’s screwed into/clipped onto the cupholder somehow? It’s so hard to tell. The most important part for me is removing the cupholder though.

I found a guy who’s done a similar mod (albeit 8 years ago), so hopefully he has some idea. Will update if i can get it.

nah, you're missing a bolt or a few bolts somewhere along the floor..

the cubby thing should be able to be lifted up, if not...there's something still holding it down

try removing the two bolts up front to the floor
