2005 Acura RL
Hi, I'm looking to buy this car, and was wondering if it has any known issues?
I have an MDX that I love, and I'm wanting to expand my Acura family.
I've read that the 2005 RL's are very solid cars. Although the one I'm looking at has quite a few electrical system checks on the carfax which concerns me.
Anything I should look for when inspecting this vehicle before buying?

Find the "search this forum" toolbar on the forum page, and type 2005 problems. It has been discussed ad nauseum.
Short answer is, "yes. You'll have a lot to check for."

I have an 06 and it's been great. Then again I bought it CPO. Don't think an '07 or '08 is really any improvement.
The big thing is I would wonder why you are looking so old. If it's to get it into a budget ... then it may be the wrong car for you.
If you're super handy you can fix a lot of things but some of those parts are mildy expensive. Not BMW expensive, but not Honda Accord cheap.
And if you have to pay a mechanic to do some things you'll could be out $500-$1500 a whack.
Basically if you can afford this car, and can't afford an 06-08, this may not be the car for you unless you are a halfway decent garage mechanic. If you can afford an 06-08 and are just looking for cheapest in this body style, bump up and look a tiny bit newer.
Me I'd shoot for a MM 2009+

The '06 was a big improvement from '05, but it still has issues more commonly than '07 or '08 from what I have read here. Biggest thing that comes to mind is the A/C. I think any model is susceptible to the door handle shorting or propeller shaft whine. That said, the KB1 is an extremely reliable model. I wouldn't guess the KB2 is inherently better. There are many, many less, and they just aren't as old. The numbers aren't there to draw that conclusion.
