It seems that the elapsed time in the trip computer resets everytime the vehicle is turned off. I would like to be able to have the elapsed time not reset each time the vehicle is turned off.

Does anyone know how this can be modified?

I don't think that is an option. I read the manual and can't see that feature being user customized.
