Wheels for snow tire

I have a 2016 RDX advance package that I have had for a year now. Last winter I bought some snow tires and now I am looking for the best place for a set of wheels so I do not have to switch out every year. Any advice for the best place? I don't need anything fancy since they are just for winter use. I appreciate the help. Thanks

ONe of the most annoying things about a 2nd set of wheels is to make sure they come equipped with compatible TPMS. I elected to pickup a set of 2013-2015 wheels bundled with BLIZZAKS and TPMS. THis way i'm confident i wont have any issues and the tire size is exactly the same as OEM all seasons.

I dipped the winter wheels a gloss black :

Easily handled through Tire Rack. They will equip your wheels with the right sensors as well. I got a set of winter wheels & tires last year through them. Very simple and great customer service.

You can also check out your local Craigslist and/or eBay. Last year I got, used OEM rims, used snow tires and used TPMS sensors for the Mrs' Lexus ES350 and had all mounted, balanced and working for about $650. OP already has tires, so he is ahead of where I started. Just depends on timeframe and patience.

so I'm in Canada and I'm about to order tires and wheels as well, but from 1010tires.com as its free shipping across Canada right now. as for the tpms, do I have to activate it or as soon as I swap my all seasons set to the winter set, the car will automatically read the new tpms. is the acrua compatible with reading 2 different sets of tpms? thanks.

I have a 2017 acura rdx elite (advance)

I ordered a set of mounted snows on alloys with TPMS from The Tire Rack. As soon as you drive about a mile, the new sensors will be recognized and the tire pressures will appear on the screen.

Did the same for my 2012 TSX Wagon, and the new TPMS synced up in less than a mile. Kudos to Acura for making it this easy. A friend with a Lexus needed to go to the dealer and pay a hefty fee to activate the TPMS.

It is just a light on the dashboard. On the Lexus I had, I would not pay for the sensors because of the programming expense. I just put a piece of black tape over the light for the winter.

Some Volvos and Audis do not have TPMS sensors in the wheel. They use the ABS rings on each wheel to measure tire rotation, and determine if a tire is losing air.

I have a 2016 Acura RDX. I could have bought a set of 18" "Diamond Cut" Acura alloys from the dealer for $3000 or I could have purchased a set of 18" "Diamond Cut" alloys (which I like better) from Honda for $2000. I shopped around on Kijiji and found a brand new set of Honda Diamond Cut alloys for $600. On my previous vehicles not having TMPS sensors in the wheels was not a problem because for all the miles of winter driving I do I could put up with the light on the dash. Not so with the RDX with "Tech" package! Every day the same message telling me that there was a problem with the tire pressure in the wheels would pop up 8-10 times/ day. A real pain in the butt deleting these messages only for 8 - 10 more messages (on the Navi screen) the next day and every day after. No way to turn these off (at least no way I could find!) so I broke down and had the dealership install TPMS sensors. Believe me, it was a worthwhile investment!!

They are in the for-sale section or just IM me.

Thanks.
