Window rattle?

I've noticed that if I close any door and the window is partially open the glass rattles noticably. When the window is fully up or fully down there isn't an issue.

So far there's no actual breakage but it does seem oddly loud. Has anyone else encountered this?

yes. It was a bad surprise. Didn't think to test that one at the dealer before sale.

I'm guessing then it's been an issue for a long time. Shoot. Not a heck of a lot that can be done then.

Do you mean rattle, or is it "buffeting" which is more violent and loud?

If I (or a passenger) lower one window at speeds over 25 mph, that window will shake and buffet (the faster the speed, the more violent the buffeting). When I open another window (just a crack) on the opposite side, the buffeting stops.

So now I always open two windows at once and it never is a problem.

This happens on the 2013 RDX, and happened on my 2005 MDX. I never noticed it on any vehicle I've owned before these two.

I believe the OP was talking about a rattle. Lower the windows 1/2 way. Now get out and shut the door. The windows wiggle in their frames and make noise...rattle. I don't notice when fully down, fully up or partially down and driving. It screams cheap though when you shut a door with the windows 1/2 down and they make a racket...

Bingo. Fully up or fully down everything seems fine.

I just heard it on my RDX as well. So no fix?

My RDX makes that sound also, but unlike the 2009 Pilot Honda, it does not rattle when I drive. The Pilot's driver side window would rattle while driving if opened about 1 1/2 in . Drove me crazy for 4 years, since I had the kid in the back of me and did not want too much wind in her face. Took the Pilot to 2 different dealers 3 times to fix it, each time they said it was fixed, but it was never fixed. just had to live with it. "Glad" rdx rattles standing still...:-)
