Sun Visor Broken
Hi guys,
I tried to pull down the sun visor on the driver side today as usual but I heard a cracking sound, it sounds like something is broken. The visor doesn't lift up all the way like before. Does anyone have this kind of problem before? I guess the only way to fix it to replace the whole visor. Any tips or suggestion will be appreciated.
Thanks.

does it flex near the joint (like a piece of plastic is broken? you can remove it and dissect it yourself to see what is wrong if you are out of warranty. if in warranty, take it to your dealer.

Car Crazy for Sure!
Yes, my '16 driver's side broke. It's not too common, but, it's a known fact that there is a rather weak/thin piece of metal that is used to give the "spring action" to make the visor go snug against the liner. They
break at times. Same ones used in the Hondas. ONLY fix is to replace the entire visor...new one comes with lighted mirror etc. If under warranty they will replace it. And I know some Acura folks will "jump on the
weak/thin metal piece" and wonder...why?? It's an Acura after all!! LOL! Well, this same kind of construction is used in many vehicles. Sometimes they break. Cars are mechanical things....sometimes something
breaks. It happens....no vehicle is immune to "something" failing. If out of warranty...the visor sold at discount is not too pricey at all. Now, installation is tricky. There is a unique install technique that must be
followed or else you could break the new one. Now...I did have a Honda tech friend put mine in. And I apologize since I can't remember the nifty little trick.

I just purchased a 2014 RDX and noticed the poor quality of the sun visors. I traded in an ILX for the RDX. The ILX visors are different and seem better made. I had an 08 Civic that had cheap visors that were eventually recalled. The RDX visors remind me of the old Civic. Strange Acura would put inferior visors in the RDX and better ones in the ILX

Broken Sun Visors
Hello -
My 2014 RDX sun visors have broken at the plastic swivel-assembly that holds them to the roof (both driver and passenger sides) and appear to not be fixable. They both hang down by their lighted mirror wires and I had to prop them up in order to drive. The only Acura replacements I can find online are few and very pricey, compared to many very similar-looking and much less costly ones for 2014 Accords. Does anyone know if the Accord sun visor has the same connection assembly and will fit my RDX?
Thanks for any assistance and/or suggestions.
