Drivers side touch unlock feature

I have had the keyless entry for sometime now (2014 RDX - Wife has it) and (2010 TL, long gone), so I am very familiar with the system. Recently I have noticed on my 2017 the drivers door pad does not unlock when I touch it from the inside of the handle. The button still locks it and the passenger side works fine. It's intermittent and I wonder if there is something I am doing. Had it into the dealer and of course it was working fine that day.

Any Thoughts?

Mine is a bit random. Sometimes I have to grab the handle and hold for a while or grab it a second time. It never completely fails to work, though.

I had exactly the same symptoms just last week. It started occurring after a heavy snowstorm, and driving through slushy roads. The drivers side didn't work at all for 2 days, and then began to work intermittently for the next 2 days, and now it works completely normal at 100% of the time.

I have always noticed that when I am washing my RDX, with the fob in my pocket, that the doors would lock as I sprayed them with water, and then automatically re-lock after 30 seconds (according to the options I chose for re-locking).

I can only assume that water collected around the sensor, and due to the colder temperatures and slush spray, that it took longer than normal to evaporate. This is my 3rd winter with the RDX, but it is the first time this has occurred.

Well we have had bad weather lately so this must be the problem. Funny, my 2014 does not have the problem. Thanks.
