Would it be possible to install teh Power Tailgate components to a Non-Tech RDX?

I ask because I'm planning to buy a RDX with the Tech package for my wife because the power tailgate is a MOST for her. I would regret dropping 4k for the Tech package just for the hids, foglights and power tailgate only (other features such as NAV and Voice command aren't that important for her).

Has anyone researched this already?

I know that the tail gate motor goes for $450 (http://estore.honda.com/acura/parts/...=&b=B++5510&dl), but what other components would I need?

well... It seems that costs are rapidly increasing. Probably the power tailgate, good quality aftermarket HIDs and foglights would be around 2k.

 

probably not cost effective.

As a side not I'm surprised the the aftermarket hasn't created power liftgate kits for SUVs and minivans.
