My girlfriend has a 2015 RDX and I wanted to get her a remote start for Christmas. I was wondering what people recommend. I wanted to go with the OEM one, but the wiring PN is discontinued. Naturally I found that out after I had already ordered the key fob for it I'd like to get either one that works with the OEM fob, or one that has the lock/unlock buttons on the new fob so that she doesn't have to carry about an extra fob. Certainly 2 way would be preferred, but I don't think that's possible if using the existing remote. Any input or suggestions would be welcomed.

 

You might check ebay for the discontinued OEM old/new stock or a used OEM part. Also, an online Acura OEM parts dealer might still have one in stock. Good hunting!

 

I've had a Viper from Best Buy on two Acuras for 7 years now, it's cheap and reliable.

You might be better off looking at an aftermarket system. Not sure how much luck you'll have searching for an OEM remote start system for a 12-year old car.
