Motorola Droid Razr Maxx seems to connect with Acuralink/text messaging function
I purchased a Motorola Droid Razr Maxx today from Verizon. It appears to not only pair with existing bluetooth for phone calls, but the text messaging read/reply function works fairly well. I was able to receive a text message and reply to it (although the car said that it could not send the message even though my wife received it). Additionally, I was able to successfully connect with the Acuralink server, but am not sure how to fully test this beyond the system saying that it successfully connected after I set up the data connection.
For Acuralink, I used the "easy" setup and chose Verizon as the carrier on the car display. I made no changes to settings on my phone.
Going into this, I did not suspect that an Android phone would work correctly with these data features, based on what I've read on this and other sites. I am pleasantly surprised. Hopefully, this might help out others trying to get this function working.
