I have a 2016 RDX (Elite with Navigation).

I want to purchase an iPod Touch to take advantage of the "Song by Voice" features of the infotainment system.

According to the owners manual, the system is compatible with iPod Touch 1st to 5th generations. I would like to purchase a 6th gen model because it only costs $10 more than a 5th gen.

I have a feeling that the 6th gen model will work with the RDX, and I assume it wasn't listed in the manual because it may not have been available at the time of publication.

Has anyone been using the iPod 6th gen, and can confirm it is working properly for them?

Additional Questions:
Will the iPod receive a charge when the engine is turned off? If not, will the iPod continue to run on it's internal battery when the engine is off? If it does run on it's internal battery I expect that it will be shutting itself off when the battery gets low (perhaps in 12-24 hours) and then require a manual restart once the engine is running. Can anyone confirm this.
