Low Beam Headlight HELP (again lol)
Well, I was shocked to see that is been over a year since being here. I don't even know if I have the right to even ask for advice, as like when I feel embarrassed to go to my mechanic. We have a friendly relationship, however of course 95% of the time I visit is when I have a problem.
I'm still a 53 year old newbie at forums, and I'll try to find answer on my own, but if anyone can help, I'd be most grateful! My 02 TL'S passenger side low Beam Headlight would go out about every six months. I'd find out after my train commute home when I started my car at night. So I'd head right to the Auto Zone and I'd park in the lot. Before going in side, I'd pull the bulb housing and simply put it back in its place and BINGO! It magically worked again! Not this time. I figured it must have been a loose wire/connection. The bulb is ok. Meaning the filament isn't burnt out and is still connected. My owners manual says DON'T REPLACE IT MYSELF GO TO SEALER. Well, I don't have $200-300 for some dealers mechanic to change a bulb. Or do I have no choice??? High beams work fine.Fuse issue? Loose connection? I'm hoping this is a common occurrence and is a simple fix. If anyone knows and can post a remedy, and of course, I can figure out how to return here to read any responses, well, you will have my gratitude and best wishes for a Happy New Year and the good feeling you get when you help out a poor ignorant Shmuck like me!! Lol thanks!!!
