Idle bouncing up and down (2003 TL)
81000 miles. I haven't checked under the hood yet (until after work), but hopefully there is an easy answer.
Today I started the TL and the idle seemed high (1200?). Then when I stopped at the first stop light, the idle was bouncing up and down from almost-stalling to 1600, about once per 2 seconds. It's like it cannot find its idle speed.

On the trip to the mechanic, the engine light came on, with apparently a PO505 code. That's the idle air control valve. It's replaced now, so I hope that will solve it. $175 part + $90 labor. I see aftermarket IACVs much cheaper ($60) so I think this was an OEM part.
