Since the apple update to 11.1 my phone with all it's contact will not pair with my RDX 2016. I tried it all and went to Acura and they can't figure it out either. Someone must know what the problem is and how to fix it. It was working perfect until the update. What is the answer?

 

Common iOS 11 problem to all Acura and Honda late model vehicles. As a temporary workaround, delete all of your contact photos and emoji. This will allow the contacts to sync with the car. The issue is due to a change in iOS 11. However, Apple states that Honda/Acura has to fix it.

Since installing iOS 11.1, my 2018 RDX no longer pairs with my IPhone 6. I’ve spoken to Apple and they say it’s an Acura problem and Acura says it’s an Apple problem. Rather than getting it fixed, the two companies are pointing fingers at each other. Does anyone know if a fix is being worked on and what to do to to pair in the meantime?

 

Is it just iPhone 6 models or are all iPhones affected?
I have a 7 and have been holding off on updating my software because of this thread.....

Anybody updated their software and tested to see if their phone pairs with their RDX without the workaround?

 

Revisting this issue. Are people still having issues? My 2016 RDX randomly deleted most of my contacts and will only import A-D.

And also starting yesterday text message alerts do not show up on the RDX screen. Anyone else seeing this issue?

 

I just got an iPhone SE (ios 11.3) and not getting text messages on screen (RDX 2018). Dealer service advisor said its been an ongoing problem between Acura and Apple. He had no idea when it will be resolved. I haven't had any problems with deleted contacts.
