In the past only Canadian cars were required to have DRL. At some point Acura converted over for the US market as well. I'm sure it has something to do with DOT regulations.

Does the US 2013 have DRL for both the base and Tech package?

 

has DRL. I see them on late-model Toyotas but not much else.
