Hacking the screen

About to pull the trigger on an rdx but can't decide on the tech package.

I like te XM screen on the non tech package.
I like my garmin gps as its more advanced.

But i like the hid lights, the power lift gate and the improved radio.

On either module can I hack the screen to display my garmin, a DVD or anything else?

So hard to decide.

I don't know about hacks, but I agree with you that my 3490 LMT Garmin is better than the RDX Nav. Especially the ability to do trip planning on my PC and then download data to the Garmin.

I think the reason there is no solution yet is because it is too new and nobody with the ability has had a chance to experiment with it. Access to the wiring diagrams would be a big help. The solution may be as simple a cutting a wire in the harness to the radio or navigation unit and either grounding it or connecting it to +12V.

I would love the Navi screen to have HDMI input so that I can output my phone's screen onto the Navigation screen. There was a way on my 2003 Accord so that you can get Composite cables hooked up to the Navigation screen, I'm hoping there's a way to do it on the RDX as well.

FYI the solution I proposed is for allowing use of the navigation screen controls by the driver or passenger while in motion and not for using the display for other devices. Sorry for the confusion.
