So a few months ago my display stays on the daylight brightness when the lights come on or when I start up the car at night, where it used to automatically switch to the dimmer nighttime settings when the lights were triggered or when i started up the car at night.

Anyone know to get it to go back? I've looked at every setting i can think of and read every page of the manual but it's confounding me....

 

Check and see if your the knob you use to increase the dash display brightness is turned all the way up. Someone else here had noted that

 

if it is any consolation to you, the screen that displays my audio is lit up when my lights are off and then turns off when i turn my lights on. i have a 2001 MDX sooo.

 

If the dashboard lighting is set to maximum, it will not dim/change when the headlights come on.
