Android Bluetooth not working on 2016 RDX
My wife's Android (Moto X) will pair and work as a phone to make calls. Sometimes though we want to stream Google Maps through the phone. This only works if it's in Bluetooth mode. If listening to XM Radio or FM, the directions won't play through the speakers or on her phone (it's still sending the data to the car).
This doesn't sound so crazy except for the fact our 2010 VW Jetta we just traded in had the functionality of listening to any audio and being able to hear directions from the phone no matter what listening mode you were in. I communicated this to Acura and they said it's the phone's problem, not theirs.
Even when the phone is connected via USB or auxiliary it still doesn't function the way our 5 year old Jetta did.
It all makes me wish I'd given Lexus or Infiniti a better look.

You should have given Lexus or Infinity a look What you might find is that the stereo will most likely function the same way.
What I do not understand is that why this function was not checked during your test drive? This is especially important when you are switching from one make to another.
During test drive, it is best to check everything from the operation of your car stereo to the location of your spare tire. If the feature you described (which it is the first time I heard of it) is so important to you, it must be checked during the test drive. It is your loss if you find out after the car is driven off the lot.
I guess you will have to wait for 5 years before you go back to Volkswagen.
