Hello fellow RDXers!

I recently purchased a 2018 RDX and have been getting used to driving it. I have found the navigation system to be pretty garbs so far like reminiscent of a 1996 Garmin unit. It doesn't bother me too much because I prefer to use my phone and Google maps for navigation anyway but I'm struggling to find a good location and mount for my phone on this car. So, I'm looking for suggestions from those of you that have already mounted yours. For the time being, I have been just leaning my phone in landscape orientation on the top screen where the backup camera shows but it's not great.

It doesn't have to be cheap but I would prefer to have it around the dash level and in portrait orientation and not have to damage anything to mount it.

I have seen those but, unfortunately, I don't want to block the vent and I think the right side one would be too far for me to follow directions on it. I am being picky, yes but I'm still in the honeymoon phase with this car. Ideally, I would really like to have it in between the steering wheel and the top screen where it's easy to see, doesn't block the vent or either of the screens, and is nice and close to my old failing eyeballs.

I have looked around and nothing really checks all those boxes so far. Eventually, I will probably break down and attach one to the dash but I'm reluctant to do it at the moment.

I use this for my 2017 RDX Tech. I use the vent on the passenger side center console. I bught this in November 2020 when I bought my vehicle and haven't moved once. Yes it covers the vent but haven't had an issue with it block airflow. Very stable and I have large android phone.

Another option is the Weathertech Cup phone holder.
