Not sure but they said it had to be shipped from CA to FL. Have to bring the car back when they get the parts....just what I want, another trip to the dealership.

I had a Toyota that needed a firmware update and they said it had to be ordered. It came on a CD. I asked the service manager if "I have the only car that needed the update", to which he replied no. So I said "If you've ordered this before, you MUST still have it, so why did I have to wait for you to order it." He gave me the standard nonsense about copyrights etc. So I asked why they just couldn't download it.

After you get it done I'd be curious if they actually put in a "hardware" part.

The firmware update does have a part number. I checked my invoice it is 39770-TX4-A01. I guess they could order a physical copy but I am pretty sure they can download it when they perform the update procedure. I had a scheduled oil change and asked about getting the update when I arrived. Nobody there ever heard about it. I mentioned SB 12-034 they looked it up and got it done.

HTC Evo compatibility

I have an HTC Evo and the HFL works fine. I listened to `books' with my Ipod nano with great success using the Aux plug until the nano broke. I downloaded a book into my phone but it won't work thru the RDX speakers like the nano did. Also, I can't get the `lady' on Google Nav on my phone to talk thru the speakers either. Any help?
