Best audio source/settings for base model?
I've been testing different audio sources and level settings over the last few weeks and found that I'm experiencing the most consistent and balanced sound while streaming Spotify from my iPhone 5 over the Bluetooth connection. Audio Setup settings: BASS 8/10, TREBLE 9/10, SUB 10/10 (sub is weak
).
I'm interested to know what others are doing to get the most out of their "premium" base audio system.

The "best" anything is relative to the expectations of the person asking. I'll agree the base model has a weak sub. It doesn't bug me because I'm not trying to out boom my neighbors. The better way to get the sound you seem to want( based on your preferred settings) is for you to get a crossover/amp installed that will only allow low frequency to play from the sub...right now I think it is playing the full spectrum.
Just keep in mind there will be some complications with amping the stock sub since that's where the noise cancellation magic comes from:

As for my settings, they're close to yours. 8 or 9 for both bass and treble and 10 out of the sub.
Part of the issue is the sub is weak, but the other part is, to put it in acoustics terms, the overall frequency response curve is s#&*. There are certain low frequencies that sound fine and really resonate, and then there are other frequencies where you barely hear anything. Whether it's because of the sub or the actual vehicle acoustics, who knows, but this thing could really use an EQ with a few more settings than hi/lo/sub.
Maybe one of these days I'll get real ambitious, borrow some lab equipment and run a sine sweep to see what the curve looks like. I'm guessing it's not exactly flat...

Wow. Had no idea the sub did noise cancellation until I read this thread. No wonder it is a bit lackluster. Even with my tech pkg I crank the bass and sub up to +6 and treble at -2. And that is not just being ridiculous, that is just what is required to have fuller sound.. (I produce & master music.)
