What do you mean by "RDX shade"? I wonder why the RDX/Q5/NX/QX50/GLK are excluded...

I thought shade meant to look like you are unintentionally insulting someone or like to even talk shit about someone.

opps...yes that's my feeble attempt to be relevant by reading internet news articles and headlines...'So and so throws shade...'
i can't keep up at all

anyways the zdx is something I never even knew existed. It's a hatchback not produced anymore I gather.

Funny how I never gave Acura a look until now. On the road I try and guess 'MDX or RDX' lol.

good eye. That's what I thought...each should deserve mention because of their market share and fan base.

the hummer has thankfully faded away but I do see lots of suburbans dominating the uber select xl black around here.

Haha all good, I understood what you were trying to say, just sinply bugging
you here!

The ZDX is one of my all time favorite vehicles. Something so cool about them. It was Acura's answer to a question no one asked sadly.

That charg is showing the evolution of crossovers and suv's, it has nothing to do with popularity, moreso milestone vehicles. That is why things like the ford bronco, lamborghini lm2000, jeep cherokee are mentioned at the bottom. The ZDX is shown because it was yet another integral part of the growth in the class. 2 door suv's with sloping rooflines never really existed until the bmw X6 came out and the ZDX followed suit.

Now we have the X6/4, cx3/4 glc and gle coupe, range rover evoque coupe (doesn't count as much), lamborghini urus (I think) and also a couple others (I can't remember). So all in all a budding class. Porsche even has a cayenne coupe in the works and VW has a Touareg coupe or tiguan coupe in the works.

The 2007 RDX should have been mentioned however as it was the first use of a turbocharged 4 cylinder engines in a crossover suv and if you look around now it is extremely common with almost everyone having one.

It was actually a tie as Mazda used a 2.3T motor in the CX-7 the same year .

Goodness yes! How could I miss that? I was even crossshopping the 2 when I was buying the rdx. Almost ended up in a CX7 GT. But the extreme slowness despite a 6 speed auto vs 5 speed and general ugliness pushed me away. The one thing I did like was the smart key (odd how Acura avoided this until 2013 for rdx and 2014 for mdx)
