^^ Congrats on your new purchase. What color did you get? AWD or FWD? Tech or base?

I think that adding the roof rail may induce a little extra wind noise but overall, their practically outweighs their inconvenience. Provided you will be using them and not just for esthetic purposes....

hi there

Thanks for the reply...I see your a major player on this site... I am in Ottawa.... got black reds with tech package..... wanted kona coffee or silver but my dealer said there are none at all available in Ontario in those colours..... in terms of roof rails..they would largely be for the look... like how they look but don't like the cross bars so not getting those... I had assumed the cross bars are what would make most of the noise not the actual roof rails... may use them eventually but worried they will make too much noise as I was amazed how quiet the rdx ride is...... already ordered the roof rails so can't change now,..... have been waiting two weeks,..... I got an insane price on the car ....really ...

^^^ Its nice to see another Canadian - I am in the Maritimes Thanks for the compliment about my contribution to this forum. I like to help out when I can, I am not a confrontational person and like to have a few laughs along the way.

After your reply, I am more and more convinced that you will have anything to worry about because, as you stated, the cross rail will be the biggest wind noise maker. I am a bit confused...what is black reds with tech pack?

I had the white AWD with TECH and really enjoyed it with two issues which I am sure you must have seen me already say....the rear noise in cold weather and the lack of passenger seat adjuster. I seat adjuster was a known feature when we bought it but in the long run, it became more and more annoying. The rear noise suspension was not expected and was annoying as hell. That being said, there are ways to solve the rear noise problem and when you look at the overall package, the RDX is an amazing vehicle and why it does so well for Acura.

The combination of a great transmission, smooth and powerful engine, great fuel efficiency and driving dynamic makes the RDX a really good vehicle for the price!!

Delighted to see you got a great deal and wishing you lots of happy mileage and keep us posted once you take possession of it.

My G/F has both the side rails and the crossbars installed...no significant noise I can hear.
