Whine at High Speed

New member. I searched the forum and couldn't find any clear direction or insights on this issue, so I'm reaching out to the community here.

I recently purchased a 2017 RDX FWD with high miles (168,000). I've noticed a high pitched whine when driving at high speeds 70/75 MPH and just touching the throttle. It quiets down if I take my foot off the throttle (but I think it's still there; just quieter).

The only things I've done since purchase: replaced both rear wheel bearings, new tires, new rear shocks and installed S-VCM.

Any thoughts or direction on diagnosing this sound?

A video clip would help. However, it's hard to know unless you're diagnosing the issue in person.

On a hunch, I did a triple fluid change today and replaced the inline filter (I think it was the original and the vehicle has 168,000 miles). Will report back if this makes a difference.

Didn't seem to make a difference. Now I'm wondering if the torque converter is going out.

Ah, that's too bad. I wish you good luck; I haven't had any problems with my '14, but I had the well-known transmission problems (and replacement on my dime) with my 01 Odyssey.

Anytime I get a high pitched whine AND there isn't a "Check Engine" light, I get the serpentine belt checked. A small vacuum leak would (or should) trigger the "check engine".
