Weather Strip
Weather Strip
I just bought a 2016 RDX Advance. I was detailing it in my garage when I noticed a lot of sand and grime stuck in the weather stripping at the bottoms of all 4 doors. I removed the clips and the weather stripping and then thoroughly cleaned and waxed the bottoms of all doors inside and out. I was just wondering if anyone had this issue and if anyone replaced these weather strips with new ones or at least replaced the clips?? I am looking to buy new clips because a few of them got a little messed up with pulling them out and re-inserting. I can't find the exact clips that belong in these weather strips at the bottom of each door. Any help would be much appreciated.
The weather strips (seals) on all four of our doors (2016 RDX) are always covered with dirt inside and out. As this is the case for our 2 back doors (which are rarely opened except for cleaning) I believe the weather strips (seals) are too thin and this is why they get dirty on the inside and why a lot of road noise makes it into the car. IF you replace those weather strips (seals) I would suggest you look to see if there are any aftermarket versions that are thicker and would be more effective at doing their job.
